Celine Dion!!!!

My husband and I attended a Celine Dion Concert on December 2,2008 at the Staple Center! We had a blast! (I probably had more of a blast!) For those of you who don't know....I am a HUGE Celine Dion Fan!! She did such a great job and she sang a lot of older songs!! She is such an amazing artist! Enjoy the video and pics!

November....in a nutshell!

November seemed to be one of the most busiest months this year! With our weekly softball games, my mothers 50th birthday and her 3-day 60 mile breast cancer walk, Thanksgiving, homework, work, and a Carrie Underwood Concert, it seemed as if every day was non-stop! Not to mention that I was invited to 3 baby showers, that all started at the same time and were all on the same day, which was also the same day that my mom crossed the finish line in San Diego! WOW!! I am sad that I had to miss all 3 baby showers, but the look on my mothers face when she saw her family there, was priceless!! I am soo very proud of her!!

The Carrie Underwood Concert was AMAZING! We all had a blast!! A THANK YOU goes out to my new Aunt Connie for planning that event!! What a good idea!!!

One of the baby showers that I missed was a close friend of mine, Elizabeth. I know she had a beautiful shower because she is so creative and wanted her shower to be fun yet chic and I know she succeeded! I cant wait to see the pics! I love you Elizabeth!!! I can't wait to see Baby Eric!

Thanksgiving was a blast! We normally play our annual soccer game, but being that the grass was still very moist from the past rain, we decided to play Pictionary instead! Boys against girls! It was hilarious, and we learned to never underestimate grandma, she can DRAW!!

Back to the Cancer walk! My husband and I were amazed to see how big of a fundraiser this really was! There was about 3,000 walkers and each one of them was walking for a reason! They raised a total of about 11 million dollars! The closing ceremony was very emotional and at the same time inspiring, because one day there will be a cure for breast cancer, and to see the survivors raise the flag was definately assuring that these fundraisers are benefiting women!!

When you're bored...PAINT!!

This weekend was supposed to be relaxing...until Saturday morning when the toilets flooded...in all 4 units of our building!!! It wasn't too bad though, and we took care of it immediately! Then after that, my husband and my friend and I went to downtown L.A. to go candy shopping for a candy bar she is creating for her baby shower! Sunday was very relaxing. While we were browsing the home improvement shows we immediately felt the need to do something to our home so, just then, my husband and I decided that we wanted to paint our guest room! So we painted the accent wall a nice shade of green and started to stencil a damask pattern in brown. It will definitely be time consuming, but it is coming out pretty neat!! Halloween at the Engracia Residence...Booooo....!

This was the first Halloween at the Engracia residence! We were really excited to meet some new neighbors, see some cute costumes and get to know the people on our block a little better! Our night started off a little slow. We realized that because our block is oddly shaped, most trick-or-treaters skipped our block. So, we decided that we needed to come up with a plan to get peoples attention...we didn't by tons of candy for nothin! Thanks to my sisters boyfriend, we had plenty of costumes to go around! We were climbing in the trees, my husband was howling, my sisters boyfriend was stopping cars!! Then all of a sudden the trick-or-treaters began flowing in!! We were having a blast! We did meet one of our neighbors who explained to us that EVERY year our block is not the most popular for -trick-or-treaters, so he wants to collaborate with us next year to get this block noticed!! Fog, machines, music, more decorations..the whole shi-bang!! So, we will be looking forward to a much busier Halloween night next year! So here are some pictures from our Halloween night!! Enjoy!

Softball Fun!

Well, this past Thursday was another intense softball game! We actually lost.. :( but we played a competitive game. These pictures go to show that no matter if we win or lose, we are always having a good time!! Ballin'!!!!!!! heehehee

Sunday, October 26, 2008 we held a fundraiser for a wonderful cause....the cure for breast cancer!! For those of you who dont know, my mother is participating in the 3-day, 60-mile breast cancer walk in San Diego! It begins on November 21st which happens to be my mothers 50th birthday! What better way to celebrate life.....helping to find a cure for breast cancer on your birthday! We raised an astounding $1,330 in one day! We hosted a spa day at my mothers house, and a close friend of hers donated her time and talent to provide services such as haircuts, manicures, and facials! We had such a great time with family and friends! Its amazing to see so many women come together and want to be a part of this special event for an amazing women....my mom! Good Luck mom! I love you very much!!!

Play ball......

Every Thursday night we play softball for the city of Torrance on a co-ed league! It is extremely fun playing with family and friends!! We have team spirit, we're competitive, and everyone on the team is just a blast to play with! Tonight was our 6th game which we won 13-1 (or something close to that). Right now we have won 4 games and lost 2. So....not too bad for being the new team in town! Our team name is "Ballin' Outta Control" and if you think our team name is funny, then you should see our jerseys (or should i say t-shirts hehehe)! SO, with only 7 games left we are hoping to make it to the play-offs!! So......Wish Us Luck!!!

10.17.08 Knott's Scary Farm...

SO....my husband and I went to Knott's Scary Farm and I will say.... It was quite scary! It was my little brothers 13th birthday celebration and he went off in a group with all of his friends, so our parents, myself and my husband hung out together! Now, I can handle a scary movie here and there, but when a scary movie comes to life..... its a totally different ball game! I give the employees (monsters) credit! There mission was to scare the attendees.....and the only thing I have to say is MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! As I hid behind my husband in EVERY maze, I was plugging my ears, closing my eyes, even grabbing and pulling the back of his shirt! My husband was only scared once the entire night!! He enjoyed relaxing in "monster" infested areas, watching other people get scared! I will admit... its quite funny!!

Overall we had a blast, and I want to give our parents a round of applause for survivng the long and SCARY night!!!

October 17, 2008: Blogspot...??

My first post..... so today at work a friend of mine was showing me her blog (she just started blogging), and I thought it was pretty neat and apparently a very popular thing to do. My step-father is a blogger as well, and I must say that I am very impressed with his writing skills and creativity! I hope I will learn to be as creative in my own writing. So, here I am writing my first blog! Hopefully I can keep our blogspot as current as possible!

A little background information: I am a newlywed, and had the honor of marrying by best friend (boyfriend) on August 2, 2008! The greatest day of our lives...so far....! After dating for 12 years, we figured it was time! We want to use this blog as a published display of our new life together as Husband and wife!
